COMMUNITY GARDENS

A Community Garden Is A Piece Of Land Cultivated By Members Of A Community.  These Gardens Are Popping Up All Over The Mid-South From Westwood To Collierville, Whithaven To Millington.  Vacant Lots, Many In Areas Where Supermarkets Are Scarce, Are Being Transformed Into Community Gardens Offering Fresh Fruits And Vegetables To Area Residents.

A Community Garden Is A Great Way To Bring Young And Old Together To Learn, Grow And Work With One Another.

The Shelby County Land Bank is able to donate property to Not-For-Profit organizations. We firmly belive that programs such as this will benefit the entire community.
